The Tesla Model X is the flagship SUV in the lineup. It combines a large, flexible cabin with up to six or seven seats, the distinctive upward-opening falcon-wing doors and — in the Plaid version — performance that matches sports cars. That makes it an obvious choice for families who want space, luxury and speed in one package.
Variants
| Variant | In brief |
|---|---|
| Model X (Long Range, dual motor) | All-wheel drive focused on range, space and comfort. |
| Model X Plaid (tri-motor) | Three motors and extreme acceleration in a large SUV. |
Space and falcon-wing doors
The Model X can be configured to seat up to six or seven people, and the upward-opening falcon-wing rear doors make it easy to access the rear rows — even in tight parking spaces. Add a large boot and a frunk. It's the car for those who need both space and a statement.
Performance and range
The Plaid version delivers a 0-100 km/h time around 2.6 seconds thanks to three motors. WLTP range is typically in the region of 500-550 km depending on variant and wheels, with a battery around 100 kWh. As always, WLTP is a standard test — real-world range depends on speed, load and temperature.

Who is the Model X for?
The Model X is for those who want Tesla's most spacious and prestigious SUV with room for many — and ideally extreme performance. If your needs are smaller but you still want an SUV, the Model Y is a more affordable choice. To compare with the sister model as a sedan, see the Model S.
Referral benefit on the Model X
