Once you've got your Tesla, a sea of accessories quickly appears. Some are genuinely useful, others are pure decoration. Here's a practical priority so you spend your money well. (We don't sell accessories — this is just general advice.)
The practical (buy early)
- Rubber mats: protect against water, sand and winter slush — easy to clean.
- Boot/frunk liner: keeps the boot and frunk clean.
- Mud flaps: less dirt on the sides, especially in winter.
- Charging accessories: a good home charging solution — see home charging.
Comfort and everyday
- Phone mount/wireless charger: if your setup doesn't cover your needs.
- Sunshade for the glass roof: less heat in summer for some.
- Under-seat/console storage: order for the small things.
- Hooks and nets: for shopping bags and bits and pieces.
Protection
- Screen protector: reduces fingerprints and scratches on the central screen.
- Paint protection/film: for exposed areas if you want to preserve the paint.
- Door sill protection: against scratches when getting in and out.
Buy smart
Start with the practical (mats, charging), and wait on "nice to haves" until you know the car. Always check that accessories fit your exact model and year. Third-party accessories shouldn't interfere with safety systems.
